FIRM INFORMATION

Affandi Hamid & Co. is helmed by Amirul Affandi bin Abdul Hamid. He is a Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and a certified trainer approved by Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF). He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons), Diploma in Accountancy and Executive Certificate in Investment Analysis from University Technology Mara (UiTM).

He started his career in 2012 as an Income Auditor at MK Land Holdings Berhad and was assigned to its subsidiary, Bukit Merah Laketown Resort. In 2015, he moved to Biopep Malaysia Sdn Bhd as an Accountant (Multinational Company wholly owned by Biopep Inc. Canada). His accomplishment includes helping Biopep Malaysia obtained a 5 years tax exemption under the Malaysian Pioneer Status.

Two years later, he joined Malaysian Technology Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (Khazanah Nasional Subsidiary) as a Financial Advisor in Advisory and Value-Added Services Department. In this capacity, he assisted MTDC portfolio companies with Product Costing and Pricing Analysis, Fundraising and Company Valuation, besides the regular accounting services. He gained a broad experience in financial and business advisory involving start-ups and growth stage companies, from enterprises in FMCG, IT, biotech, agriculture and others.

In 2019, Deloitte Malaysia offered him to be a part of consultants in Business Process Solutions Department. He has been engaged with Oil & Gas client to assist their financial operation, internal control and year end audit. With the experience above under his belt, he decided to set-up Affandi Hamid & Co.
